- An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Stop Smoking Practitioner and Community Engagement Insight Lead across Bristol City. The post involves provision of service, stop smoking clinics on quit manager and leading on social media, engagement with stakeholders and attending events to promote the service.
The key functions of the role are:
- Provide a leadership role in organizing and attending events
- To take accountability and responsibility for KPIs on the service
- Provide 1-2-1 and group Stop Smoking advice
- To represent the service at all relevant face to face events in Bristol
- To deliver training on the Stop to Stop scheme and level 2 training
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience in providing a supportive role in the planning and delivery of a healthy lifestyle service
- Experience in project co-ordination and activity planning
- Have an understanding of the range and appropriate use of different smoking cessation interventions
- Have an understanding of harmful effects of smoking, smoking as an addiction behaviour, withdrawal and relapse
